The calm before the storm is how I’d describe the month ahead.
I’ve been talking to lots of people about promoting the book in March and planning that. I am hopefully going to generate some decent coverage and in a week or two I am recording a podcast with one that I love, a true must listen for me. That’s exciting but a bit scary!
After a few weeks of banging my head against a brick wall I have worked out how to finish the sequel. I always knew the end, and it rocks, but I struggled to get from say 85% of the book done to that ending. I have it in my head now so it’s full steam ahead. I’ll be handing it in slightly late but not too bad.
All this of course gets fitted in between a busy family and work life and other interests. There aren’t many Liverpool home games this month but this week we play Spurs, hoping to turn over a one goal deficit to get to Wembley. Wembley the week before the Triton Run is released would be cool, but its going to be tough.
Next week I am off to the Barbican in London to see Jason Isbell doing a one man show in support of his soon to be released acoustic record.
